DOT.Rural partners meet in Kamnik to co-design the project’s training curriculum

From 14 to 16 April, all six DOT.Rural partners gathered in Kamnik, Slovenia, for a key working meeting dedicated to the co-design of the project’s training curriculum. The meeting brought together the complementary competences of the partnership in a shared European space for exchange, also enriched by the contribution and perspective of selected stakeholders from the partner territories who work in rural tourism.

The workshop centred on the co-design of the curriculum framework, together with a first shared definition of the Learning Outcome Matrix and the identification of the main themes to be addressed in the future training modules. The exchange focused on digitalisation in rural tourism in a broad and practical way, exploring topics such as data, digital marketing, storytelling, digital strategy, and other tools and approaches that can help rural destinations respond to current challenges and opportunities.

The aim of the training path is to equip DMOs and rural tourism stakeholders with practical digital competences that can support more innovative, sustainable, accessible and competitive rural destinations. In Kamnik, this direction began to take clearer shape through dialogue, peer learning and the combination of different territorial and professional experiences within a shared European process.

The programme also included a visit to the Natural Health Resort Tunjice, where partners experienced a local good practice combining place-based wellbeing with digital support tools, using tablets and video content to guide visitors through meditation and wellness activities linked to the site’s energy stations.

In the coming months, the partnership will continue this work through the implementation of the curriculum co-design workshops in the target territories, further involving local stakeholders in the development of a training path rooted in real needs and shared European exchange.
